Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s Partnership With Verge CBD; What Does It Involve?

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro‘s life used to be all about “gym, tan, laundry” on Jersey Shore. Today, Ortiz-Magro is more focused on his physical and mental health. The reality TV star actively promotes his use of cannabinoid (CBD) products on social media. Find out what Ortiz-Magro’s involvement in Verge CBD is, including the products the company offers and why Ortiz-Magro partners with the brand.

Verge is a company that offers hemp CBD products infused with hemp-based cannabinoids along with other plant-based ingredients. Per Health.com, CBD stands for cannabidiol, the chemical compound found in the Cannabis sativa plant. It is more commonly known as marijuana.

According to their website, Verge “intends to provide alternative solutions to individuals seeking a different path.” All of the products Verge offers are fully compliant with Section 7606 of the 2014 Farm Bill. What’s more, their products that use Hemp Oil are 100% legal in the United States.

The reality TV star launched his side business in October of 2019. At the time, Ortiz-Magro told Us Weekly how CBD helped him stay away from pills and alcohol during his recovery from surgery.

As documented on The Doctors, Ortiz-Magro had liposuction to get his “six-pack abs” back. “I’ve always been a workout fanatic, but it takes a lot of hard work to stay in shape,” Ortiz-Magro explained in the segment.

After the birth of his daughter, Ortiz-Magro says he couldn’t spend two to three hours daily in the gym anymore. Ortiz-Magro had laser liposuction done to bring back the definition in his abdomen.

Post-surgery, Ortiz-Magro told Us Weekly how a friend introduced him to CBD products. He was admittedly surprised at how much they helped. “I’d be in pain, and I’m, like, ‘I feel good!'” he told the outlet. “I don’t feel a nasty feeling after [and] I feel like it lasts.”

In speaking with Us Weekly, Ortiz-Magro talked about the ease of use that comes with CBD-infused products. “It’s not like when you take pills,” the Jersey Shore roommate explained.

“I feel like you’re like, ‘I gotta take four [pills] now and then I gotta take another four.’ [With CBD] it’s like one drop, boom. With the pills, it’s like 200 milligrams — that’s all you get.”

For Ortiz-Magro, taking CBD is all about being in control. “You control what you want to do.”

After Ortiz-Magro was arrested for domestic abuse charges in April 2021, he announced he was stepping away from Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. “After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I’ve ignored for too long,” Ortiz-Magro wrote on his Instagram Stories.

Despite his announcement, a source says Ortiz-Magro isn’t going to rehab. “He is trying to say he can get better with mental help without going to a facility,” the source alleged to The Sun

Instead, Ortiz-Magro has been actively promoting mental wellness on his Instagram. “The first step to a healthier mind is to talk to yourself,” Ortiz Magro shared to his Instagram Stories on May 25. “If [that’s] not enough, talk to someone you think cares.”

The post concludes with: “If [that’s] not enough again, talk to a professional.” Ortiz-Magro has also shared Verge CBD products to his social media feed as of late.

Showbiz Cheat Sheet wishes Ortiz-Magro the best on his mental health journey. Stay tuned for updates on Ortiz-Magro and the rest of his Jersey Shore: Family Vacation roommates
